T.T. Shields Born 1873 - Died 1955
T.T. Shields was born in 1873 in Bristol, England and immigrated to Canada
in 1888. He delivered his first sermon in 1894 in Tiverton, Ontario. His
first pastorate was in 1894 in Florence, Ontario.
1895 called to Dutton, Ontario
1897 Called to Delhi, Ontario
1899 Married Elizabeth Ann Kitchen
1900 Called to Wentworth St. Baptist Church, Hamilton,
Ontario
1904 Called to Adelaide St. Baptist Church, London Ontario.
Each church experienced an increase in membership.
1910 commenced ministry in Jarvis St. Baptist Church, Toronto
1922 Started and edited The Gospel Witness - A weekly paper
1927 Established Toronto Baptist Seminary
1930 The Evening Church Service broadcast over radio
